Brighton MartiAL ARTS GYM

BORED OF THE GYM?

Some people sign up to the gym each January and within a few months they’ve given up. I hear this time and time again. A lot of people find going down the gym really boring.
At the beginning of the year, they start out fully motivated and train for a few short weeks. They’re often just on their own, no group or support.

For these people, wanting to get fit and keep fit, it’s time to try something different. Trying out a traditional martial art such as Karate, Kung-Fu or Teakwon-Do could well be the answer.

By training in a martial art there is so much to learn. This means every class is different, which keeps training so much more interesting.

There are also prescribed goals to keep you motivated. Working towards each tag or belt, keeping you focused and therefore keeps you training, getting fitter, stronger, faster!

The community aspect of training at Brighton & Hove Taekwon-Do means you are training with a like-minded group of friendly people who are always there to support and encourage. Besides the enjoyable aspect of the actual training, it is so good to go training just to catch up with everybody a couple of times a week.

For these reasons, and many others, it is why so many people find training in a martial art so much more rewarding than just trying to get down to the gym and to push yourself through those boring gym sessions. And it is these reasons most people who start a martial art are still training many years later. For me, it’s been over 39 years now! And there are students at Brighton & Hove Taekwon-Do who have been training here for over 20 years and many for more than 10 years!

There is an additional practical advantage, you’ll learn essential self-defence skills that could come in very useful one day.

Bonus Reason, Taekwon-Do offers far greater value for money when you consider everything you’re getting and you aren’t tied into a long term contract.

To sum up, martial arts training is different:
·      More rewarding.
·      Supportive group.
·      You make great friends, often lasting a lifetime.
·      Each session is different.
·      The camaraderie makes you want to come back again and again.
·      Goals to work towards keeps you motivated.
