Assistant Instructor

When you become an assistant instructor in my classes, you make a commitment and agree to follow workplace etiquette, namely by showing punctuality and reliability. In exchange, you gain a lot of life skills and work experience, which is something very positive and valuable that you will be able to put on your UCAS application (for University). And for those that show the right attitude towards their role, I will always be happy to provide a reference for jobs you seek in the future.

Please take note and respect the following:

  1. You must check the WhatsApp thread several times each week to know what is going on.
  2. When you’re scheduled to help, you must arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the class.
  3. If you are unable to teach on your regular session, you must find cover: a) Notify on the thread at least 5 days before. b) Ask others directly by DM. c) If you get no reply, you must inform me at least 48 hours before the class you cannot make. (I understand there will be times when the above is not possible, due to sudden illness or something similar and you can DM me when these circumstances occur)
  4. Try and offer to cover others when you can and don’t just leave it to someone else.(If you ever want others to cover you then you need to cover others).
  5. I run an instructor’s course once per year, you must make every effort to attend.
  6. Ensure you know your 3-step and 2-step properly.

As someone teaching in my classes, you should have the added responsibility and pride to know your Taekwon-Do as thoroughly as possible.
