Terms and Conditions

Definitions

“Taekwon-Do Impact”

Refers to the Taekwon-Do Impact association. It supervises and organises local Taekwon-Do schools throughout the United Kingdom. (also referred to as TKD Impact).

“Instructor”

Refers to a qualified Taekwon-Do instructor licenced by Taekwon-Do Impact to teach Taekwon-Do under its supervision and under the Taekwon-Do Impact name. A current list of TKD Impact instructors is available on our website.

“Student”

Refers to the person applying under this application for a licence to train with an instructor.

“Student Licence”

Is the licence granted to the student by Taekwon-Do Impact under this licence agreement.

“Licence Fee”

Is the fee paid to Taekwon-Do Impact for the issue of a Student Licence with an instructor.

“Training Fees”

Are the fees paid to the instructor for Taekwon-Do training.

“Joining Fee”

Is the fee paid when joining Brighton & Hove Taekwon-Do which covers your licence fee to Taekwon-Do Impact for the first year, subsequent years the fee is paid out of your regularly training fees.

Student Licence

You agree to pay the initial Joining Fee in advance for which Taekwon-Do Impact will grand you a licence to train in the art of Taekwon-Do with an TKD Impact Instructor, to apply for any grading examination and to enter competitions and events organised by Taekwon-Do Impact. The licence fee/joining fee does not entitle you to any training sessions; these must be arranged separately with an instructor.

Insurance

The Student Licence will also entitle you to the benefit of insurance under a block policy taken out by Taekwon-Do Impact which will cover you for third party liability, i.e; personal injury that you may cause to another student or instructor.

Responsibility for training

You agree that your instructor or another instructor delegated by him/her will be solely responsible for you training and your training fees. You must arrange and pay for your training with your instructor separately and look only to the instructor for any refunds you may claim on your training fees. Taekwon-Do Impact is not involved in your day-to-day training.

Utmost Good Faith

Since the information provided in the Student Licence Application Form will be used to obtain insurance cover you have a duty to provide such information in utmost faith and a continuing duty to keep your instructor informed of any illness or injury that you may have suffered that might adversely affect you or other students in training or which may be aggravated by your training.

Training

You understand that it is the right of the instructor to withhold training at any time or may refuse to allow you to train at the school/club classes at any time and you will not be due any refund of fees paid in advance.
