Brighton Martial Arts
Get Fit

Have you ever wanted to get fit?

I mean seriously fit. Something that challenges you every time you go along and keeps you coming back again and again. Where there’s a terrific group of like-minded people who help push you and keep you motivated.

Many people sign up to the gym each January and within a few months they’ve given up. A lot of people try going for a run and this, for some, can get very boring. People often find going to a fitness/aerobics class is more fun, for a while, but soon that becomes quite tedious.

Try something different!

It’s probably time to try something quite different. Trying out a traditional martial art such as Karate, Kung-Fu or Taekwon-Do could well be the answer.

The community aspect of training at Brighton & Hove Taekwon-Do means you are training with a like-minded group of friendly people who are always there to support and encourage. Besides the enjoyable aspect of the training, it is so good to go training just catch up with everybody a couple of times a week.

By training in a martial art there is so much to learn. This means every class is different, which keeps training so much more interesting.

There are also prescribed goals to keep you motivated. Working towards each grade, keeping you focused and therefore keeps you training, getting fitter, stronger, faster!

For these reasons, and many others, it is why so many people find training in a martial art so much more rewarding than just trying to push yourself through those boring gym sessions or that morning/after work run. And it is these reasons most people who start a martial art are still training many years later. For me, it’s been over 38 years now! And there are students at Brighton & Hove Taekwon-Do who have been training here for over 20 years and many for more than 10 years!

There is an additional practical advantage, you’ll learn essential self-defence skills that may in this day and age may come in useful.

Bonus Reason, Taekwon-Do offers far greater value for money when you consider everything you’re getting and you aren’t tied into a long term contract.

To sum up, martial arts training is different:
·      More rewarding.
·      Supportive group.
·      You make great friends often lasting a lifetime.
·      Each session is different.
·      The camaraderie makes you want to come back again and again.
·      Goals to work towards keeps you motivated.
